Dave shook his head and laughed. âThis is unbelievable. I gotta tell Jimmy about this. Hold on.â Dave yelled for Jimmy from the balcony.
Minutes later, Jimmy was standing in the projection room with them. âI knew it. I just knew it,â Jimmy said with a chuckle. âThere had to be more to this place than what we saw. I could feel it in my bones.â
Chris walked towards the light switch again after handing off the letter to Greg. âWell, are we up for finding this secret location?â
The group answered with a resounding yes as Chris finally switched off the light, and they walked out into the hallway.
Greg pulled out his phone and started typing away. âHopefully, a search on the internet can tell us what movie played here in 1963.â
Jimmy shook his head. âI doubt it.â
Dave pulled out his phone and searched 1963 movies. âThere were tons of films released that year.â
Chris snapped his fingers as he looked at his phone. âBye Bye Birdie. Itâs gotta be that. It was a musical that opened in theaters in 1963. Tons of dancing and singing.â
Jimmy scratched his chin. âOK, what room starts with the letter b?â
A second later, they all blurted it out as it came to them. âThe basement!â
Minutes later, they stood in the dank unfinished basement, lit only by a single light bulb in the corner with a pull string.
âThereâs nothing down here. I donât see a letter anywhere,â Dave said as he scanned the basement.
Greg nodded as he walked around inspecting. âOK, Chris. Use your magical eyesight or whatever it is,â he said with a chuckle.
Chris cracked his knuckles and got to work with his cell phone flashlight until he stopped in front of a door. âWhatâs this? A closet?â
âYeah. It has a bunch of mops and brooms in it,â Jimmy said.
Chris opened the door, causing the mops and brooms to come crashing down. He stepped back just in time.
Jimmy shook his head and laughed as he walked over to help pick them up.
Chris eyed the closet up and down until he saw a sliver of white peeking out from the wall on the ground. âI think I found it,â Chris said as he reached down to grab it.
Greg pushed himself into the closet with Chris. âNo way. I need to know what it says.â
Chris handed the envelope to Dave this time. âDo the honors, Dave.â
Dave took a deep breath while unfolding the letter.
